The section contains historical information about the Goryachinsk Resort
The hot mineral spring, where the Goryachinsk resort later emerged, was discovered in 1751.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the Resort was recognized for its public importance, and its permanent exploitation began.
In 1808, a German-language book, " Description of the Turkino Mineral Waters on Lake Baikal, " by Dr. Osip Osipovich Reman, was published in St. Petersburg. This book was published in St. Petersburg in German, and the resort gained international fame.
After the construction of the first baths at the mineral spring, the need to preserve the property arose. By order of the Public Welfare Office, the position of Caretaker of the Turkinsky Mineral Waters was established.
