Mud treatments

Treatment description: weakly sulfide sapropel mud at the Goryachinsk resort contains a balneologically valuable component, methasilicic acid at a concentration of 37.7 mg/dm3. The balneological value of such mud is due to

high thermal and visco—plastic properties, increased content of therapeutically active organic substances — humic acids, easily hydrolyzable substances, bitumen, as well as the presence of organic biostimulants — vitamins, enzymes and hormones.
These muds differ from others in their mild, gentle effect on the human body, so they can be prescribed to weakened patients, children and the elderly. Depending on the disease, mud applications, electroplating, rectal and vaginal tampons, and electrophoresis of mud solution are prescribed.

Indications:

• Diseases of the spine and joints - osteoarthritis of various etiologies, deforming arthrosis, spondylosis, spondyloarthritis, myositis and bursitis, and others;
• Diseases of the nervous system - neuritis, neuralgia, sciatica, neurasthenia, chronic fatigue syndrome;
• Diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue – psoriasis, chronic eczema of the skin, neurodermatitis, allergic dermatitis, trophic ulcers of the shin;
• Gynecological diseases - inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs, infertility;
• Andrological (male) diseases - chronic prostatitis and other inflammatory diseases;

Contraindications:

• pregnancy;
• any acute diseases;
• feverish states.
